Modern Collections is a third-party collection agency for business invoices. If we called or emailed your company, a business you buy from placed an unpaid invoice with us. Here is how to check that a message really came from us.

Each of these can be checked without trusting the message itself.
- The message names a business you buy from
- Every call and email names the business that placed the invoice with us, the invoice number, the amount and a reference number. If you don't recognize the business or the invoice, tell us and we will look into it.
- Email comes from moderncollections.io
- Our email is sent from collections@moderncollections.io, and replies go to an address at in.moderncollections.io.
- Our callback number is +1 (814) 809-9945
- It is the number printed in our emails. You can call it to reach us about any account we contacted you about.
- We take payment only through our portal
- Payment links go to app.moderncollections.io/portal, which you open with a one-time code. We never ask for gift cards, cryptocurrency, or payment to a personal account.
- You can confirm with the business itself
- Contact the business named in the message using details you already have, not the ones in our message, and ask whether it placed the invoice with Modern Collections.
If you don't owe it, tell us.
Reply to our email, call +1 (814) 809-9945, or open a dispute in the portal. Include proof of payment or the reason the invoice is wrong. Disputing the full amount pauses our outreach on that invoice while it is reviewed.
